Advanced processing
Photo Retouch
$85/hr
It is not possible to quote per image for retouching as each image is different and customer requests may require different levels of effort.
Examples of retouching include
- Removal of scratches or other film defects
- Color adjustments due to fading
- Removal of unwanted objects in photo
- Improvement of skin tones
Retouched photos will be returned with their unaltered original transfer.
Retouching may be performed by a sub-contracted service but your originals will not be shipped.
Film Restoration
$85/hr
Film restoration is the frame by frame improvement of a entire film or perhaps a portion that was damaged. It is similar to Photo Retouch but much of the focus is in improving color, noise and scratches. This process goes beyond the improvements possible with AI and relies on a combination of art and technology.
Quotes are available only after your initial transfer has been completed.
This process can be expensive. A 200' 8mm film breaks down into approx. 14,000 frames to be inspected.
